MOVIN Inc. ("MOVIN," "we," or "our") is committed to providing motion capture hardware products of the highest quality and reliability. This Limited Warranty and Repair Policy (the "Policy") outlines the terms and conditions governing warranty coverage, repair services, product returns, and related responsibilities. This Policy applies to all MOVIN hardware products, including the MOVIN TRACIN, purchased either directly from MOVIN or through an authorized distributor (the "Products").
MOVIN warrants to the original purchaser or end user that the Products (excluding software) shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. In order to receive service under this warranty, you must provide valid proof of purchase, such as an invoice, packing slip, or online registration confirmation. This limited warranty does not apply to any software provided with the Product. All software is supplied 'as is' and without warranty of any kind.
This warranty shall be considered void if:
- The seal (which is affixed to verify authenticity and prevent unauthorized opening) inside the Product has been damaged or tampered with;
- The Product has been opened, disassembled, tampered with, or otherwise modified;
- The Product has been misused, mishandled, subjected to abnormal physical or electrical stress, or installed improperly;
- Damage has resulted from use with unapproved accessories or incompatible devices;
- The damage is cosmetic in nature or limited to normal wear and tear.
Furthermore, this warranty does not apply to any Product used outside of its intended purpose or in applications not expressly endorsed by MOVIN.
The sole and exclusive remedy under this limited warranty is, at MOVIN's discretion, the repair or replacement of the defective Product. This warranty replaces and excludes all other warranties, whether written or oral, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, non-infringement, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MOVIN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Product, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Certain jurisdictions do not permit such limitations; therefore, these exclusions may not apply to you.
If you believe your Product may be eligible for return or warranty service, please contact MOVIN to initiate the process and obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
- The RMA is valid for fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of issuance.
- All returned items must be clearly labeled with the RMA number and shipped in the original product packaging.
- Items received without a valid RMA or after the expiration period may be refused.
- Customers are responsible for covering all return shipping costs.
To begin the return process, please email contact@movin3d.com and provide the serial number located on your device or its packaging.
Upon receipt of a returned product, MOVIN will assess whether the product is eligible for warranty service or requires non-warranty repairs. If the issue is not covered under warranty, MOVIN may offer to perform repairs subject to the following estimated fees:
- Inspection and minor repairs (e.g., basic soldering, limited part replacement): between $50 and $300
- Inspection and major repairs (e.g., PCB replacement or structural damage): evaluated on a per-case basis
All repair fees are quoted in U.S. dollars and do not include applicable shipping charges. MOVIN reserves the right to use new or refurbished replacement parts and to update repair pricing and terms without prior notice.
- Trade-in or upgrade programs may be available for discontinued or non-repairable units at MOVIN's sole discretion.
- Consumables, accessories, and external peripherals are not covered under this Policy unless otherwise stated.
- Any product returned without prior authorization may be rejected or returned at the sender's expense.
- This Policy is subject to change without prior notice. The version in effect at the time of your return request shall govern your claim.
